Hi Chaps

The BRYC is going to run a structured racing season this year and are hoping to get as many boats on the water as possible for the races. The program has been structure so that :

·         The year is divided into 3 series  ( 4 months )

·         Starts in September  …. Spring Series

·         Each series ( 9 races ) has 3 discard races so that you would only need to sail 6 races over 4 months to get a result, that could let you win

·         Smaller boats will have competition within the competition ( class 2 )

·         There will be short races and longer races, again to make it suitable for all size boats.

·         There will be crew available for boats that need crew..

·       The program has been displayed at club.

We have some serious boat power at the club in the form of Fleur, Adios, Elmarie, Warrior  and Unmatched so we need to get a big fleet together to really show everybody that we are a yacht club who can race and not only ……….. ( leave that up to the imagination ..)

Colin,.. : “Duet” needs some competition !,.. “Aqua Vista” and “Endeavour” would love to assist,

Tony,..with the amount of practice you have been putting in, you must really want to have you Aqua Vista’s name on a trophy.

Ralph,.. Ralph you can race the “Iron Maiden – Kinda Magic”  and let Colin get his butt wet ( kicked ) on the smaller boats.

Bruce,.. we have design the program especially to  cater for boats like “Ipi tombi” and we can have a very competitive class 2 if the chaps are scared to get their butts kicked…

Phillip,.. “Sunrise” is wanting to spread it’s wings and get off the moorings

Andre,.. you can use your new licence to give “Thandamanzi’ a burn and with your handicap might be able to “kick Adios’s butt “

Ian,..chat to Ben,.. let’s get “Rhythm” off the mooring.

Erich,.. you can race “Tenacity” at the same time as teaching people to sail,.. pressure is good, loose the training wheels

Chris,. get “Ikhwezi” out the booooooze cruise mode and get that family racing..

Graham,.. there are some sailing awards just for you and “Unmatched“ in the program…

Chris ,.. the “Warrior” needs to show us how it’s done…

Francis,.. the “Guinevere” needs some racing !!

Keith,.. “Cadnap”,.. can go… so stop fixing for a while and come racing…

Wayne,.. give the Flintstone a break on race days,…. And give “Spartan” a burn with kids as crew… young blood.

Barry Boys,.. “ Mau’,.. needs to race,.. join the club and come and show us how it’s done.

Errol,.. what about coming to race “Mersea”,.. we could try and assist with a skipper and crew, it will be a good learning experience and lots of fun.

Derek,. we know that “Da Vinci “ can’t go ( ha ) that why you sit on the rail of your boss’s boat… would it not be better to beat them than crew for them ?
