Requirements:    Day Skipper Certificate

Duration:           4 Weeks (Two Evenings and a Saturday or Sunday half day practical per week)

Where:              Buffalo River Yacht Club, East London.

This course covers all the practical and theoretical knowledge for the Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster Offshore examinations. The syllabus for both these courses is similar.The Yachtmaster Offshore course follows on from the Coastal Skippers course.

Course materials and instruments:

All students are provided with a manual produced by the Buffalo River Sailing School. Instruments and charts are supplied and included in the course price.

Level of skill on completion of course:

After completing our Coastal Skippers course, you will have the necessary knowledge to be allowed to skipper a yacht on a caostal passage.
